Introduction:
Tortuguero National Park is one of Costa Rica’s most popular National Parks, as it the nesting home for various species of sea turtles. Hawksbill, Loggerhead and Pacific Green Turtles all come here to nest. The Park is a wilderness area with many different habitats and a rich and diverse wildlife. There are rainforest, woodland, and swamp forest habitats as well as coastal and marine areas, and a long expanse of beach where the turtles nest. This three day add on to our Costa Rica Family Tour gives you the chance to explore the National Park, enjoy the beautiful beaches, and take a guided walk to see the nesting turtles (seasonal). On the boat trip to Tortuguero you may spot monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles and many different birds.
