Introduction: Journey from Rome to Athens via the beautiful Amalfi coast and the buried city of Pompeii, and then take in the ancient wonders of classical Greece. A fascinating blend of scenery, history, mythology and culture with visits to a winery and olive museum, interspersed with ancient sites. We visit the Acropolis on our guided tour of Athens, see the Corinth Canal, walk into the tomb of Agamemnon in Mycenae, and overnight at the coastal town of Tolo. We explore the home of the Spartan warriors, learn the importance of olives and olive oil production, and see the site of the first Olympic Games at Olympia. Then there is the chance to sample some local wines at a winery, and visit the archaeological site of Delphi before ending the tour in Athens.
