Cotopaxi Volcano Climb - SAE1
Introduction:

Add an extra thrill to your Kumuka tour and add on this Cotopaxi Volcano Climb, one of South America's highest volcanoes. Experience fantastic views from the snow-capped summit. This tour includes 5 nights accommodation in Quito in order for you to acclimatise prior to your climb.

The climb is not technically difficult, however it does require use of ropes, ice-axes and crampons. The climber must be in good physical shape and be fully acclimatised. Due to the risk of altitude sickness, climbing Cotopaxi requires a minimum of 5 nights acclimatisation in Quito (altitude 2,800m). This is to increase your chances of making it to the summit as well as reducing the risk of suffering from altitude related problems. Passengers without this minimum requirement will not be allowed to begin the ascent.
