A true blend of local and cultural tradition,
quality and comfort. Finding accommodation to match your needs
is our priority and for our Asian tours, we choose to stay in a selection
of hotels, lodges, guest houses and campsites that enrich your stay.
Our accommodation is carefully selected for quality, location, efficient
and friendly service. This ranges from overnight sleeper or cruise boat
through to delightful lodges and hotels.

Guest Houses
The guest houses we use are mainly locally owned and operated so members
of the local community benefit from your visit. We take care in our
choice of location, using accommodation in safe areas on the tourist
side of town. Accommodation is mainly on a twin-share basis and most
rooms have private facilities.

Hotels
We choose good quality, mostly three star hotels for our tours and occasionally
four star hotels such as the four star Royal Princess Hotel in Bangkok.
The hotels are usually centrally located close to main tourist areas.
All our hotels are comfortable and have the amenities you would expect
to find in such hotels including private bathrooms. Once again,
accommodation tends to be arranged on a twin-share basis.

Lodges
Our Kumuka selection of lodge accommodation ranges from the basic in
remote rural areas with shared shower/toilet facilities and communal
eating area, to the upmarket in more populated areas such as the lovely
Lisu Lodge in Thailand, a traditional hill tribe dwelling with thatched
roof, bamboo walls and floor mats, double-bed rooms and en-suite bathrooms.
Again, the norm is twin-share accommodation but lodges can involve three
to a room, depending on what is available.

Tea Houses and Camping
Some tours will involve camping and all camping equipment is provided.
Tea Houses are very basic accommodation and used whilst trekking in
Nepal.
