Asian Discovery - Teri Gardiner
We have travelled through a number of countries - as part of a tour group and independently. Loc would have to be one of the best tour guides we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge, helpfulness, consideration and how he interacted with the group was second to none. We cannot speak highly enough of Loc and only hope that in future travels we meet another guide who is of such a high calibre as he is. Overall this whole adventure has been one of the best travel experiences we have had.

Rift Valley Wildlife - Natalie Paxman
We had an amazing honeymoon/holiday on this trip. It was our second time back and our second time with Martin as our tour leader. Martin did his job exceptionally (as did our driver Patrick) and we now consider him a friend .
Martin was fabulous and went beyond the call of duty to help us - with phone calls, getting to the hospital and finally organising a flight out of Masai Mara National Park. We'll never forget the help Martin gave us.

Anton and Lawrence made this tour amazing because they put so much effort into all the activities. They were also great company during the camp stays. Anton especially did a great job in being precise about the itinerary and planned everything magnificently.

Really enjoyed our trip climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The guides were excellent and we wouldn't have made it to the top without them.

My daughter and I were very happy with our trip. Our The choice of lodging was perfect (not fancy--just right) our tour companions (just one other family)were very compatible, and our tour guide went out of her way to arrange everything according to our individual wishes. We would definitely travel with Kumuka again.

we have had a fantastic time in thailand with kumuka. while in the capable hands of our friendly tour leader, we saw and did things we only previously imagined, and since have often recalled. our kids (11,9 and 7) learned so much, including the fact that when worry-free their parents were good fun too!

The best thing about Kumuka was not the ease in which we were able to book or ring Katie direct to answer any of our booking questions. It wasn't just Kevin and Susans professionalism as tour operators or the fantastic destinations. It was the way in which the entire tour worked - the fact that our guides taught us how to travel in Europe and be independent, to look past the tourist destinations and mingle with the locals. It was the 'cheat sheets' (Susans guide) on each place we visited and hints on activites, money, culture, public transport and even how to use the toilet system! It was the luxury of having guides with a passion who encouraged us to 'get lost in the streets' for the day and suck in the sights and smells. It was being able to do our 'own thing' not marched on and off a bus at specified destinations. Our first experince in Europe was enhanced not only by the tour planned, but what we learnt from participating in a Kumuka tour - we have not learnt this on other tours. Cant wait to learn more about another destination (?China) and how to travel 'Kumuka style'.

Egypt is a must-do for anyone who has ever dreamed of it. I was in awe beyond my expectations. I never thought I would get goose bumps in the middle of the hot desert. It was awesome! Definitely take the hot air balloon excursion at sunrise over the Valley of the Kings. Abu Simbel is an awesome excursion as well but hang on to your seat during the drive through the desert!
