Introduction:
We are pleased to offer this 3 week camping tour for those who really appreciate the outdoors and being close to nature. Starting in Whitehorse it’s not long before we reach the most northern point of the tour, the Arctic Circle, a desolate land of tundra and open wilderness; haunting yet beautiful all at the same time. From the Arctic Circle we begin our journey southwards, arriving at the Tombstone Territorial Park where we set up camp at the base of this incredible yet haunting mountain range for some amazing hiking. We then spend a couple of days in the Dawson City and Lake Laberge area where the famous Yukon gold Rush began in 1896. Heading further south we spend time exploring and hiking around Stewart, Bear Glacier, Salmon Glacier and then onto historic Fort St. James and Stuart Lake. The final week of the tour is spent in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains hiking through the stunning Jasper and Banff National Parks, a land of blue lakes, alpine forests and beautiful mountain scenery. From here we head to Calgary where the tour ends. Without a doubt this tours offer a fantastic opportunity to really get out there and experience Canada’s raw nature and wildlife at its finest.
