Africa in Focus - Erina Sheely
I would definitely recommend this tour to my more adventurous friends, without hesitation! Shumba really cared about us and did everything he could to keep us happy. It was the first time Shumba & Bernie had worked together and as the trip went on they were further and further in sync with each other. Bernie is AWESOME, really knows his stuff and has been on the ciruit a long time.
Bernie was just brilliant, he knew so much and was great to be around. Shumba was always very approachable and friendly, as the tour progressed he became more and more confident. He truly cared about looking after us and made us laugh a lot. Everything worked like clockwork after a while. Long long days in the truck and we all fatigued from the prolonged heat, particularly after coming from the Aussie winter. We had to really look after ourselves and were constantly battling dehydration but on the other hand that is part of the experience of Africa. Personally I loved the trip, it was exciting, challenging and very eye-opening. A once in a life time experience for me. I will be going to back to Africa as soon as I can.

Words cannot describe what an amazing experience it is to travel to the Antarctic Peninsula - you have to see it for yourself, as soon as possible! Kumuka was fantastic to deal with.

The tour leader/guide we had through Thailand was awesome. He went out of his way to help us when it wasnt always part of his job (e.g. confirming hotels at the end of the tour). He really loves his country and it comes across in everything he says. This makes a big difference to any guide.

The Explorer - Paul O'Sullivan
Firstly it was an exhilarating tour. i loved every second. Sarah (tour leader) could not do any more for her tour, my cousin and I included. She was like a big sister to us (we were the only TWO males on tour)and she has super experience at what she is doing. she seems to get enormous self satisfaction form every challenge crossed be it minor or major. under pressure she acts cooly and confidently creating a sense of easy and understanding. her choice of restaurants were excellent (even if she was the only girl with two boys at a Valentine's dinner date.. almost like speed dating but funner..)
She gave solid advice freely for the taking and had a certain way of charming a situation with her sense of hummer (some individual just did not get it.).
One of Sarah's stronger characters is her ability to be part of the group, gelling it to gether and directing it safely in and out of various situations.(i.e. nights out (VIP ROOM)were she was in total control and at the heart of the banter, and waiting to make sure our luggage was put on safely and securely at every bus station..and i might add there were a lot of bus stations. also giving us Irish boys after sun again and again regardless of how many times she warned us we will fry (who knew factor 2 was so low...).)
i will be recommending Kumuka to all my friends and will even plan my next major tour with Kumuka.
