Introduction: Explore two of the most fascinating countries of the Middle East as you journey through Egypt and Jordan, lands steeped in history, culture and stunning scenery. In Egypt we visit the main sights of Cairo, before exploring the ancient temples and tombs dedicated to the mighty Pharaohs. We cruise along the Nile, the world's longest river, and then head east to swim and snorkel in the warm coral gardens of the Red Sea in Hurghada. We then cross the wilderness to the oldest monastery in the world, and to Mount Sinai, and from here cross the Gulf of Aqaba and into the Kingdom of Jordan. We take a jeep safari across the stunning desert landscape of Wadi Rum and travel along the old Caravan Route to the World Heritage Site of Petra. We float on the Dead Sea, see the mosaic city of Madaba, and explore the old city of Jerash. Our journey ends in Jordan's capital Amman, where we meander through the bustling souqs and visit the imposing citadel.
